Mrs. Duke may not have won her first WSOP Bracelet until two thousand and four but she is still one of the most feared poker competitors around the live action games at The Bellagio in Las Vegas. Annie’s longawaited WSOP bracelet came with a win at the "forgotten game" of Omaha high-low.

While competitors from the "younger crowd" of poker go wild after a huge win at the tournament, Annie goes back home and becomes "mom" to her four kids. Annie grew up in New Hampshire into a family of card players. If you do not accept that, watch her brother, Howard Lederer, in action who educated her how to gamble on the game.

However, Annie Duke is no small change girl and has captured her cut of demanding tables, which includes eliminating Howard along the way on a couple of occasions. They’re both competitors that have the capability to win the large cash and do it with a smile.

Annie is a strong competitor at any table due to the fact that she is a natural poker player, but it is a little more than simply being strong at the game. Annie Duke is surprisingly intelligent and graduated from Columbia U where she majored in Psychology and English.

When you are seated across from Annie at the poker table you’ll see she is there to play the game and she begins "summing" you up from the time you sit down at the game table. If you can not gamble like a camp, then don’t waste your time.

Acquiring over 3 million dollars in tournament play, Annie Duke became a consultant to both the UltimateBet website and actor Ben Affleck, who wanted to sharpen his skills and become a power at the poker table.

You might catch a glimpse of her at the Bellagio, you will observe her on television and you may even participate against her in an internet poker match, but do not expect an easy win. Except of course you are a camp-in-the-making, you won’t beat her. However, it would be fun to say you played at the same table as "The Duke".
