Annie Duke may not have won her 1st WSOP Bracelet until two thousand and four but Annie remains one of the most powerful poker competitors around the ring games at The Bellagio in Sin City. Annie’s long-awaited WSOP bracelet came with a win at the "forgotten game" of Omaha Hi-Lo.

While competitors from the "younger generation" of poker run wild following a huge success at the tables, Annie heads home to be "mommy" to her 4 children. She was born in NH and grew up in a family of poker players. If you do not believe that, check out her sibling, Howard Lederer, in action, who taught Annie how-to play the game.

However, Annie Duke is no small fry kind of girl and has captured her share of difficult matches, including eliminating Howard a few times on numerous occasions.

Earning over $3 million in tournament action, Annie branched out to become a advisor to both UltimateBet and Hollywood actor Ben Affleck, who aspired to develop his techniques to become a big player at the poker table.

You might just observe Annie at the Bellagio, you will see her on the tv and you may even compete with her in a net poker match, but don’t expect a simple win. Unless you’re a rising star, you’ll not beat her. However, it would be fun to say you played at the same table as "The Duke".
