Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with ancient ancestry. Built on the ancient Chinese domino game and the modern American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the eastern with the wild west in a wonderful game for beginner level players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player versus the casino, unlike almost all other poker games that players compete against other players. By competing against the dealer, beginner players do not have to worry about any other, more knowledgeable gamblers taking their mulla.

A further Pai Gow advantage is the fairly slow game pace, rookies can take their time and scheme while not having to make frenzied decisions.

It’s also much simpler to participate in for a very long time with basically a little amount of money since, to not win, each of your hands needs to be lower than both of the casino’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the familiar 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The player is assigned 7 cards faces showing and the casino is dealt 7 cards faces hidden.

A five card hand and a 2 card hand have to be put together from the seven cards dealt, the 5 card hand has to be stronger than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be higher than the houses.
