Web poker has become globally acclaimed recently, with televised championships and celebrity poker game events. Its popularity, though, arcs back in fact a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years many variations on the original poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling blackjack than long-standing poker, in that the players wager against the house rather than the other players. The succeeding hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no bluffing or different kinds of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up before the croupier broadcasting "No further bets." At that point, both you and the casino and of course all of the other gamblers acquire 5 cards. After you have observed your hand and the bank’s initial card, you must either make a call wager or bow out. The call bet’s value is equal to your beginning wager, which means that the risks will have increased two fold. Bowing out means that your ante goes directly to the house. After the wager is the showdown. If the dealer does not have ace/king or better, your bet is given back, with a figure equal to the ante. If the casino does have ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand beats the casino’s hand. The casino pony’s up chips even with your initial bet and set expectations on your call wager. These odds are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for two pairs
- three to one for 3 of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
